Extra-Curricular

High school truly is a journey that goes beyond the textbooks and classrooms. It’s a period of self-discovery, exploration, and forming lifelong friendships. With a smaller student body, Great Lakes Christian High School (GLCHS) offers an intimate environment that not only promotes personal attention in academics but also encourages students to delve into new experiences and interests.

Our smaller size doesn’t limit opportunities; in fact, it enhances them! It means you’ll have a better chance to participate in a diverse range of extra-curricular activities. Whether you’re interested in sports, arts, music, leadership roles, or community service, there’s room for you to shine and grow at GLCHS.

Picture yourself discovering a love for music while travelling and performing with the school chorus. Imagine the excitement and teamwork involved in planning and hosting events like the winter banquet, where creativity meets organization. Consider the thrill of being part of a dramatic production, whether you’re under the spotlight or masterfully managing the magic that happens behind the scenes.

These experiences outside the regular academic schedule are where some of your most vivid high school memories will be made. At GLCHS, we provide a nurturing platform for you to create these unforgettable moments. So, here’s to exploring new avenues, broadening your horizons, and making high school a truly memorable journey at GLCHS!

Explore Your Passions Today!

Being a part of a club or activity is a great way to develop leadership, work as a team, and learn more about your skills and talents.

At our high school, we believe that a well-rounded education encompasses not just academics, but also opportunities to explore and develop interests beyond the classroom. That’s why our extracurricular program is designed to cater to a wide range of student interests and passions.

From leadership roles in student council, youth rally planning committee, and banquet planning committee, to a diverse selection of athletic teams and sports team management opportunities, there is something for everyone.

We also encourage students to explore their artistic sides through dramatic and musical productions, speech arts festival, A Cappella Chorus, small singing groups, and HEMSO Yearbook. Additionally, we offer religious fellowships for girls and boys through Adelphe and Brothers in Christ.

Finally, our student-initiated clubs and activities, such as golf, tennis, media club, book club, and band, provide even more opportunities for students to explore and pursue their passions.
